Bad Bird

Put off the old man with his deeds; and...put on the new man... put on... humbleness of mind, meekness and longsuffering... and above all these things put on charity.
(Colossians 3:9,12,14)

Crow     A crow disguised his plumage to appear like a pigeon so that he might trick them into letting him eat with them. In his rush to get to the food, he betrayed himself by forgetting to walk like a pigeon and was chased off. After perfecting his walk, he strolled over to where the pigeons were and began eating with them. Everything went well until a crow flying overhead recognized and greeted him. Returning the greeting he cried, “Caw-caw!” The crow’s secret was out. His true nature was revealed first by his ‘walk’ and secondly by his ‘talk.’
It’s not enough to simply say we’re a Christian, we must demonstrate it by the things we do and say. We must walk and talk in a Christ-like manner. Otherwise, we will appear to be as hypocritical as the crow.
