 Of all the
birds, great and small, it is the smaller birds that cheer the world with
song. Large and powerful birds such as the eagle and hawk are unable to
match the lovely melodies of the smaller canary and lark.
Big and
powerful isn’t always the best. Little in the hands of God is much. God
is not as concerned with our ability as He is with our availability.
"Let this
mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus who, being in the form of
God...made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant... and... humbled himself..." (Phil. 2:5,6,7,8).
If you
feel small and worthless don’t be discouraged. True greatness is not found
in power and prestige, it is discovered in humility and service to God
and our fellowman.
