Thru The Valley

 Yea, though I walk through
the valley... I will fear no evil:
for thou art with me...

(Psalm 23:4)

Canalboat     The Chesapeake and Ohio canal (1828-1924), is a 185 mile long waterway built along the north bank of the Potomac River. For nearly one hundred years, canal boaters carried their heavy burdens from the lowlands of Washington, DC westward, through the Great Valley, to the high country of the Allegheny mountains. As the elevation of the land rose higher and higher, a series of locks lifted the boats ever upward towards their destination.
Do you have any great valleys in your life? “Be... of a good courage, fear not... for the Lord thy God... doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. “ (Deuteronomy 31:6)
Just as the C&O canal carried its travelers ever upward through the Great Valley, the Lord will carry you upward, through the great valleys of your life.
