A cripple was carried onto a crowded trolley as it made its rush-hour rounds through the city on a hot summer day. One of the passengers, who was fortunate enough to have a seat, rose and gave his seat to the lame man. An onlooker who was tired from standing due to the shortage of seats grumbled, “I’ve been standing for nearly an hour!” Upon hearing the complaint, the handicapped man replied, “You are most fortunate to be able to stand.
When Tempted To Complain
Think about the good not the bad,
Rejoice and look up, don’t be sad.
There’s hope in Christ along life’s road,
So don’t give up and don’t explode.
Jesus can turn water into wine, but He can’t turn your whining into anything. Therefore, let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have..." (Hebrews 13:5).
