 Hurricanes, cyclones and tornadoes all churn up the atmosphere with their fierce winds. Relentlessly, they batter and upset everything in their path. Yet just above the earth's atmosphere all is peaceful and quiet. There, an astronaut can glide peacefully through space, undisturbed by the turbulence raging below.
Just as an astronaut is lifted high above the storms of this world, the child of God can be lifted up above the storms of life.
When trying times flood in on you, remember Noah. The very flood which came to destroy served as a means of lifting him up; for we read in Genesis 7:17 that, "the flood... bare up the ark, and it was lift up..."
God sometimes allows troubles to flood the spiritual lowlands of our life so as to compel us to move up to higher spiritual ground.
