Two Kinds Of Sheep

 All we like sheep have
gone astray.

(Isaiah 53:6)

Sheep     There are two categories of sheep -- wild and domestic. Wild sheep are high-spirited and impudent, living only to serve themselves. Domestic sheep, although decedents of wild sheep, are sheep which have allowed themselves to be tamed and transposed into gentle creatures serving their shepherd and the needs of all mankind.
God’s word tells us that we “all have sinned” (Romans 3:23). Like wild sheep, we have gone astray and rebelled against the “the Good Shepherd,” Jesus Christ (John 10:11). The consequences of our rebellion is spiritual death. “For the wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23). It is not God’s wish that “any should perish, but that all should come to repentance” (2 Peter 3:9).

Therefore; if you, like a wild sheep, are living astray from God, let the Good Shepherd domesticate your soul. “Acknowledge thine iniquity...” (Jer. 3:13). “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ...” (Acts 16:31). “Repent...and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out...” (Acts 3:19).
