Why art thou disquieted?
Hope thou in God.
For He careth for you. 

     In August 1918, a flat-bottomed boat was being towed by a tug on the Niagara River when the tow line broke. The swift current quickly carried the craft downstream towards the Niagara Falls. Just above the falls the vessel bottomed out on some rocks in the upper rapids. Until the two men aboard could be rescued the next day, they spent a terror-filled night expecting, at any moment, to be plunged over the falls to their death. That was over eighty years ago. Today, the old scow still remains marooned in the same spot. It never did make the plunge over the falls. The worry and anxiety of the two men was all for nothing.
     Just as the boat never reached the falls, many a problem which seems to be lurking downstream in the river of life will never reach you either. Generally, it's the things that never happen that worry a person the most.      Therefore, "be not afraid" (Matt. 14:27) but "trust in the Lord" (Prov. 3:5). Worry is like a boat stranded on the rocks. It will never get you anywhere.
