Unprepared To Die

They spend their days in wealth, and
in a moment go down to the grave.

(Job 21:13)

Grave_Marker     "When I lived, I provided for everything but death; now I must die and am unprepared to die." These were the dying words of Cesare Borgia who lived from 1475 until 1507. When he was seventeen years old his father, Rodrigo Borgia, became Pope Alexander VI. As a result of his father's wealth and power, the lad lacked for nothing. He had it all until, at the age of 32, he died without Christ. By his own admission, he was unprepared to die. He had not confessed his sins and asked Jesus to be his Lord and Saviour. His life was spent in wealth and comfort yet, in a moment, he died and left it all behind.
Whether you are rich or poor, take heed to Cesare Borgia's folly. Prepare yourself for eternity by confessing your sins and inviting Jesus to be your Lord and Saviour. Doing so will enable you, at the time of death, to say, "Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for Thou art with me,"
(Psalm 23:4).
