A large population of monkeys make their home in the jungle surrounding a luxurious golf course in India. To the frustration of golfers, these critters have a great fascination for golf balls. As a golfer’s ball rolls down the fairway, some monkey will leap from a tree and snatch it up. In response the golfer’s caddy gives chase and, if successful, the monkey will drop the ball. But, regardless of where the monkey drops the ball, the golfer must abide by the country club rule stating: Play the ball where the monkey drops it ! This may seem a bit unfair, but if the golfers are to play through and finish the course they’ve got to keep swinging and not waste time complaining about what the monkeys do to them.
In like manner, if you are to successfully finish your course in life, you must not waste time complaining about what life’s monkeys are doing to you. Like a good golfer, keep swinging and play through.
