If we confess our sins, He is faithful
and just to forgive our sins and to
cleanse us from
all unrighteousness. 

     One day as a farmer’s wife was out in the barn fetching some milk for breakfast, she noticed an ant struggling to carry a large piece of corn across the barn floor. Time and again, the little fellow dropped his heavy load. Each time he picked it up again and continued on his journey. Finally, after many tries, he succeeded in reaching his destination.
     Likewise, one's spiritual journey may be similar to the ant's struggle. God's Word commands us to make Jesus Lord of our life and to walk holy in all of our ways. Like the ant, we must do our best and never give up. If you should fail God in some way and have a spiritual fall, don't give up. Confess your sin and get back up on your spiritual feet. Messing up is no excuse for giving up. For "the Lord is...not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance" (2 Peter 3:9). Therefore, be persistent. By continual perseverance you will one day reach your destination -- heaven.
