 Strategically located at various intervals along American highways, travelers encounter what is known as a “rest area.” These rest areas provide the weary traveler with an opportunity to relax and renew their strength for the continuance of their journey.
Just as travelers on our nation's highways become tired and weary, the soul of man also becomes tired and weary as it travels down the highway of life. For this reason, Jesus offers us an invitation to rest. He invites us, "Come unto Me...and I will give you rest...unto your souls" (Matt. 11:28,29).
Jesus is the rest area for the soul of man. Therefore, come often to Him that you may find rest and renewal of strength for the continuance of your journey on the highway of life.
