 Shipwrecked and cast into the unknown depths of the sea's dark murky waters. Adrift, for a night and a day in the deep. This was the situation the Apostle Paul found himself in.
Perhaps you are now spending a night and a day in the depths of despair. A night and a day when troubles surround you like angry waters threatening to overflow you. A night and a day when strength fails and you feel as though you cannot continue on. A night and a day adrift on the sea of life.
"Fear not: for, behold, I bring you tidings of great joy... For unto you is born...a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord" (Luke 2:10,11). A Saviour who has said, "I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee" (Hebrews 13:5). "When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee...they will not overflow thee" (Isaiah 43:2).
Therefore, "be...of...good courage...for the Lord thy God...doth go with thee; He will not fail thee, nor forsake thee" (Deut. 31:6). He has promised, "even to your old age I...will...carry you...and deliver you" (Isaiah 46:4).
