Never Too Old Or Young

 Lord...mine age is as
nothing before Thee.

(Psalm 39:4,5)

Man+Boy     Abraham was seventy-five years old when the Lord said unto him, “I will bless thee...and thou shalt be a blessing. In thee shall all the families of the earth be blessed” (Gen. 12:2,3). Here we have an example of God using an older person to glorify Himself and be a blessing to others.
On the other hand, David is an example of how God uses young people. When godly David volunteered to do battle against evil Goliath, King Saul said, “Thou art not able...for thou art but a youth” (1 Sam. 17:33). But, David was able because he faced the giant “in the name of the Lord” (1 Sam. 17:45).
“God is no respecter of persons” (Acts 10:34). No one is ever too old or too young to be used of the Lord. When we fight the good fight of faith “in the name of the Lord” as Abraham and David did, God will enable us to slay spiritual giants and bless the lives of others.
