Hunting is the skill of tracking down wild game for use as food. Once, there was a time when man depended on hunting as the primary means of satisfying his hunger. The word "hunt" means to "seek out". Therefore, a hunter is a seeker.
Just as a game hunter seeks for that which will satisfy the hunger within their belly, there is another type of hunter who seeks to satisfy the hunger within their soul. The "Wise Men" (Matt. 2:1) were such hunters. They realized that "the Lord (Jesus Christ)... satisfieth...the hungry soul..." (Ps. 107:8,9) thus they set out towards Bethlehem on one of greatest hunting trips of all time.
Wise men still seek Jesus today. Therefore, be a wise hunter and "set your heart and your soul to seek the Lord," (1 Chron. 22:19). For "blessed are they... that seek Him" (Ps. 119:2).
