This is your hour... 

     In 1940, when Great Britain faced war with Germany, Winston Churchill (1874-1965) encouraged his fellow countryman by saying, "We will never surrender... Let us... so bear ourselves that, if the British Empire... last for a thousand years, men will say, 'This was their finest hour.'"
     2 Peter 3:8 tell us, "One day is with the Lord as a thousand years." Therefore, one hour with God is approximately 41 years - 8 months with man. Psalm 90:10 states, “the days of our years are threescore years and ten,” which is 70 years. Thus in God's timeframe, man's allotted time on earth is approximately 1 hour - 40 minutes.
     Therefore, today truly is your hour. Make it, as Churchill said, your finest. Just as Britain resisted their enemy; “resist the devil” (James 4:7) who is your enemy. "Fight the good fight of faith, and lay hold on eternal life" (1 Tim. 6:12).
