 In 1588 Philip II of Spain sought to conquer England with an armed fleet of 131 ships. He was so sure of victory that he called it the Invincible Armada. On the way to England, the fleet encountered a terrible storm causing such great damage that they had to turn back for repairs. This gave the English time to prepare for battle. When the Spanish started again for England, they were met by the English navy and defeated.
Just as Philip II thought he was invincible, satan also thinks he is invincible. Repeatedly he sends his armada of evil forces to conquer the saints of God; but "greater is He (Jesus) that is in you than he (satan) that is in the world" (1 Jn. 4:4).
Therefore, satan cannot defeat us. For "God... giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ" (1 Cor. 15:57). Alleluia! (Rev.19:1).
