 One breezy day, a little girl and her father set out to fly a kite. Before long, the kite was climbing heavenward when suddenly the wind began to blow wildly causing it to plummet to the ground. After several unsuccessful attempts by the lass to straighten out the badly tangled string, she handed the mess over to her father who gingerly worked out all of the crooked places in the line. Soon they had the kite up and flying high once more.
When the winds of adversity blow hard against you causing your spirit to become discouraged and plummet, like the little girl's kite, hand your tangled affairs over to your Heavenly Father. "Be...of good courage" (Joshua 10;25). He has promised, "I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight" (Isaiah 45:2). Soon you, like the kite, will be lifted up once more. For "God...doeth great things...to set up on high those that be low" (Job 5:8,9,11).
