 Reaching down from the roof of many caves is a formation called a stalactite which has the appearance of a large icicle. Aligned just below is often found another formation called a stalagmite. Stalagmites are created and nourished from mineral deposits in the water dripping down from stalactites above. In time the two formations grow together and become one -- creating a new formation called a column.
Just as a stalagmite is created and nourished by a stalactite from above, we also are nourished from above by our creator, Jehovah God. When we put ourselves under His care and align our lives with His word, like a stalagmite under a stalactite, we will grow spiritually and become one with God through His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ.
