The Sting Of Death

 The sting of death...

(1 Corinthians 15:56)

Sea Anemone     The sea anemone (uh-NEM-oh-nee) is a sea animal that belongs to the same group of sea creatures as corals and jellyfish. Because of its bright color and plant-like appearance, it received its name from the anemone flower whose resemblance is very similar. Affixed to a rock or some other surface; it uses its beautifully colored, but poisonous, tentacles to attract and kill small fish for food. One touch delivers "the sting of death" to its victims.
Things are not always what they appear to be. As the beauty of the sea anemone, "the pleasures of sin" (Hebrews 11:25) may appear to be beautiful at first also, but "the end of those things is death" (Rm 6:21). Therefore "depart from evil" (Ps 34:14) and "choose life" (Deu 30:19). Choose Jesus who said, "I am... life" (Jn 14:6). His "eye... is upon them that... hope in His mercy; to deliver their soul from death" (Ps 33:18,19).
