 Experts estimate that there are more than one million known species of insects in the world. Insects make up 80% of the animal kingdom and far out number the human population. Because of the world's large insect population, the probability of having an annoying encounter with a bug is a certainty.
Just as an encounter with a pesky bug is a certainty, it is also a certainty that we will encounter pesky situations in life. The misery caused by some of life's trials may, at times, be enough to make a person feel like giving up and quitting. But just as one does not quit driving because a few bugs hit the windshield of their car, while traveling down the highway; neither should we let the bugs of life cause us to give up and quit moving forward on the highway of life.
When things get annoying, like a pesky bug, "put your trust in the Lord" (Ps 4:5) and don't quit. "Go forward" (Ex 14:15) for "the Lord thy God... doth go with thee; He will not fail thee, nor forsake thee" (Deu 31:6).
