It's What's On The Inside That Counts

 The disciples were called Christians...

(Acts 11:26)

Nickel     The first U.S. five-cent piece of currency was minted in 1866. The coin had a shield on one side and a 5 on the opposite side. The appearance of the coin has changed numerous times since its inception, but the material from which it is made has always remained the same silver-white nickel metal. Because of the five-cent piece's nickel characteristics, the name of the coin is called a "nickel".
Things and people are identified by their characteristics. Just as a nickel five-cent coin is called a "nickel" because of its nickel content; Jehovah God's children are called Christians because of the content of His son, Jesus Christ, living in their heart. Going to a sports stadium and sitting in the bleachers does not make a person a professional ball player, and neither does going to church and sitting in the pew make anyone a Christian. It's what's on the inside that counts. To be a Christian we must confess our sins against God and invite Jesus Christ to live in our heart.
