Easy Clean Up

 If thy brother trespass against
thee... forgive him.

(Luke 17:3)

Cook     On April 6, 1938 Dr. Roy Plunkett was working at the Du Pont research laboratory when he discovered one of the most slippery substances known to man. Its trade name is Teflon. In 1954 Marc Gregoire, a French engineer invented a way to adhere Teflon to aluminum. His discovery led to the manufacture of non-stick cookware which made messy cleanup an easy chore.
Like Teflon's non-stick properties, forgiveness also has non-stick properties. It does not cling to resentment, but quickly releases all bitter thoughts that could rob us of our joy. Forgiveness is the act of ceasing to feel angry towards those who have hurt us. After a hurtful experience, forgiveness makes emotional clean up a much easier chore. Therefore, when others hurt you, be like Christ and "forgive them, for they know not what they do"
(Luke 23:34).
