On the afternoon of September 7, 1940, Nazi German bombers initiated "The London Blitz." For nearly 12 hours, the German Luftwaffe bombarded London in an attempt to demoralize the British people into surrendering to German control. Winston Churchill encouraged the people with these words, "You cannot tell from appearances how things will go. Sometimes imagination makes things out far worse than they are... Never give in, never, never, never... Never...yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy." In keeping with Churchill's words, the British people did not give in. They finally won the victory on May 7, 1945.
When you are bombarded with overwhelming odds; be as the British and don't give in to defeat. "Stand fast in the Lord..." (1Thess 3:8). He has promised, "I will help thee" (Isa 41:13). "Endure... as a good soldier of Jesus Christ" (2Tim 2:3) for "blessed is the man that endureth..." (Jam 1:12).
