 John Pierpont Morgan (1837-1913) was one of America's greatest financiers. In his lifetime, he dominated the world of corporate finance and industrial consolidation. Morgan's tactics were to wrest control of troubled businesses, reorganize them, and return them to profitability. His mode of operation was known as "Morganization". During his illustrious career, he had many business partners, but his custom was to never yield control to any of them. Morgan always remained the dominate partner.
Like Morgan's partnerships, many desire to partner with God without yielding all to Him. In order for Jesus to be Lord of our life, we must give Him full control over all we think, say, and do. Either we allow Him to be Lord of all, or He is not our Lord at all. Therefore "humble yourselves" (1Pe 5:6) and "submit... to God" (Ja 4:7) for "blessed is that man that maketh the Lord his trust" (Ps 40:4).
