 In 1927 Eben Byers (1880-1932) injured his arm as the result of a fall. Upon his doctor's recommendation, he began taking an elixir containing radioactive water called Radithor. Radithor was manufactured by the Bailey Radium Laboratories and came with the following guarantee: "harmless in every respect." After two years of ingesting Radithor, Byers' teeth began falling out. Later his jaw began to disintegrate and he developed holes in his skull. In 1932, He died from radium poisoning and was buried in a lead-lined coffin.
Eben Byers believed the lie that Radithor was harmless and paid with his life. The Lord hath commanded us to, "prepare to meet thy God... (Amos 4:12). As you do so, don't be like Byers and believe everything you read and hear. For "there is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are are the ways of death" (Prov 16:25). Believe in Jesus Christ. For He alone is "the way... unto Jehovah God the Father..." (Jn 14:6).
