There is... no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. 

     After a time of heavy drinking with his lady friend in 1926, Francisco Trapia awakened from a drunken sleep. Noticing her dead body, he thought he had killed her in an earlier altercation. When later seen by a policeman dumping her body into the New York Bay, he confessed to being guilty of murder. But an investigation by the medical examiner, Dr. Charles Norris (1867-1935), revealed that the real cause of death was carbon monoxide poisoning from a faulty stove.
     Trapia carried an awful burden of condemnation when in reality he was innocent. 1 John 1:9 says, "if we confess our sins, (Jesus) is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and... cleanse us from all unrighteousness." Like Trapia, God's children are free from all guilt. Therefore don't allow satan to discourage you into feeling guilty of past sins when in reality, "Jesus Christ... loved us and washed us from our sins in his own blood" (Rev 1:5).
