Hell's Rapids

 Thus saith the Lord...
I will... make a way...

(Isaiah 43:16,19)

Teddy_Roosevelt     In December 1913 former U.S. President, Theodore Roosevelt (1858-1919), and Brazilian explorer, Candido Rondon (1865-1958), set out to explore Brazil's 1,000 mile long River of Doubt by canoe. Onset with difficulties the entire journey, they were nearly forced to give up and turn back when they came face to face with Hell's Rapids -- a succession of six waterfalls the last being over 30 foot high. Due to the resourceful efforts of Roosevelt's son, Kermit (1889-1943), the team managed to pass over and complete their journey.
When your soul is flooded with a river of doubt and, as Roosevelt, you're facing a succession of obstacles like Hell's Rapids "fear not, neither be discouraged"
(Deu 1:21). "Have faith in God" (Mk 11:22). For "Jesus... said... if ye have faith, and doubt not... ye shall say unto this mountain (obstacle), be thou removed, and... it shall be done." (Mt 21:21).
