 "Today's the day," was Mel Fisher's catchphrase, spoken many times over the nearly twenty years he spent searching for the sunken Spanish galleon the Nuestra Senora de Atocha, whose treasure was reportedly valued at $400 million. Finally those words came true on July 20, 1985, when he received a phone call from his son, Kane, reporting, "We found the Atocha."
Just as Mel Fisher had reason to hope, "the righteous hath hope" (Prov 14:32) also. For "God... hath given us... hope..." (2Th 2:16). No matter how bad things may appear, "cast not away... your confidence" (Heb 10:35). Never give up hope, but rather "hope to the end" (1Pe 1:13) for "the Lord... forsaketh not his saints" (Ps 37:28). "Thine expectation shall not be cut off" (Pro 23:18).
