Moonflowers are a category of flowers belonging to the Ipomoea family. Their name comes from the fact that they bloom at night. These night-bloomers are a slender vine-like flower that can grow to heights of 6 to 15 feet. Their fragrant luminous white and pink blossoms attract moths and other nocturnal insects which aid in their pollination.
As a moonflower flourishing in the dark, you also can be a night-bloomer. For "when (you) sit in darkness, the Lord shall be a light unto (you)" (Mic 7:8) and your "darkness (shall) be as the noonday" (Isa 58:10). In the dark periods of life, "ye shall have a song... in the night... and gladness of heart" (Isa 30:29). "The Lord your God... goeth with you" (Deu 20:4). Therefore "your bones shall flourish like an herb" (Isa 66:14). He will "give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places" (Isa 45:3).
