As a youngster, Angelo Siciliano (1892-1972) was a spindly 97 pound weakling. One day, while at the beach, he was bullied by a hooligan who kicked sand in his face. Fed up with his plight, Angelo joined the YMCA and began to work out in the gym. In the course of time, he built his body up from a scrawny weakling into a brawny strongman. His success was so profound that in 1922 he legally changed his name to "Charles Atlas."
Perhaps you, like young Angelo, also may feel weak and helpless at times. When bullied by the "powers... of... darkness" (Eph 6:12), "stand fast" (1Co 16:13) and "fight the good fight of faith" (1Tim 6:12). "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear but of power" (2Ti 1:7). "Greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world" (1Jo 4:4). His "word... is able to build you up" (Act 20:32). Therefore "desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby" (1Pe 2:2). In so doing, you will go from being spiritually scrawny to being spiritually brawn..
