 In August of 1970 construction began on the 110 floor high Sears Tower in Chicago, Illinois. From 1973 until 1996 it reigned as the tallest building in the world at 1,454 feet. Located within its massive structure are entire floors, hidden from the public, where equipment is installed to heat and cool the building. Without these hidden floors and the equipment they house, the building would be rendered useless.
Like the hidden floors of the Sears Tower and the comfort giving equipment residing therein, God's children also have a hiding place where we can find comfort. We have "a king (named Jesus Christ who) shall reign... and... be as an hiding place from... the tempest" (Isa 32:1,2). "In the time of trouble He shall hide (us)... in the secret of His tabernacle" (Ps 27:5). "Under the shadow of (His) wings" (Ps 17:8), He shall "comfort (us) on every side" (Ps 71:21) and give us "help in time of need" (Heb 4:16).
