There Is Hope

They brought up an evil report ...(therefore)... believe them not...
(Numbers 13:32; Jeremiah 12:6)

Lifeboat          On the night of April 14, 1912, the ocean liner Titanic struck an iceberg and was sinking in the midst of the Atlantic Ocean. Quartermaster Robert Hichens (1882-1940) was assigned to take charge of Lifeboat-6. After being lowered into the sea, he announced to everyone on board that their situation was hopeless. In despair he moaned that it was useless to row away from the sinking ship, because suction would pull down everything for miles around. Several passengers ignored his evil report and began rowing. Hours later, just before dawn, the ocean liner Carpathia came to their rescue.
When given an evil report of doom and gloom, as the passengers in Lifeboat-6 were, "be not afraid of the words that thou hast heard"
(Isa 37:6). For "there is hope... saith the Lord" (Jer 31:17). Regardless of your situation, "trust in the Lord" (Pro 3:5). Help is on the way. God has promised "I will help thee" (Isa 41:10). "I am with thee to deliver thee" (Jer 1:8).
