Silly Billy

 Fear not... saith the Lord.
(Isaiah 41:14)

Goat     When faced with danger, some animals stand their ground and fight. Others like the fainting goat become paralyzed with fear and fall to the ground. The first known fainting goats belonged to a gentleman named John Tinsley who brought several with him from Canada to Tennessee in the 1880's. He sold his goats to a farmer who bred and used them as decoys to protect his sheep. When the sheep were attacked by a predator such as a wolf or coyote, the goats would become scared stiff and fall to the ground. The attacker would pursue the goats which were easier pickings, thus allowing the more valuable sheep an opportunity to escape.
Fear is a state of anxiety caused by exposure to danger. You may not be able to control when or how you are exposed to a crisis, but you can control your reaction. Therefore when faced with troubling circumstances, don't be like a silly billy and collapse in fear. "Be strong and of a good courage... for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest"
(Josh 1:9). "He shall give His angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways" (Ps 91:11).
