 In 1775 Daniel Boone (1734-1820) blazed a trail over the Appalachian Mountains, through the Cumberland Gap, from Tennessee into Kentucky. It became known as the Wilderness Road. The road was so popular that, for many years, thousands of early settlers used it to travel westward in search of a brighter future.
Just as Daniel Boone made a way through the wilderness for the early settlers, God has promised "I will... make a way in the wilderness" (Isa 43:19) for you. As you travel through the wilderness of life, be assured that "the Lord will go before you" (Isa 52:12) and "prosper thy way" (Gen 24:40) so that you, like the early settlers, may also have a brighter future and "obtain joy and gladness" (Isa 35:10) along the way.
