 During the early morning hours of August 7, 1974, New York City pedestrians on their way to work were amazed to see someone walking a tightrope between the newly constructed World Trade Center's Twin Towers. Using a balancing pole, 24 year old Philippe Petit (B: 1949) made eight fearless death defying trips over a nearly 140 foot long cable suspended 1,312 feet above the ground between the two towers. He later explained his lack of fear during his walk by saying, "I developed a... faith... that I will get safely to the other side."
Perhaps you feel like you're walking through life on a tightrope -- wondering if you'll safely reach the other side. If so, be like Philippe Petit and develop your faith. "Grow in... Christ" (2Pe 3:18) to the point where you are "fully persuaded that, what He has promised, He is also able to perform" (Rm 4:21). When Jesus told His disciples, "let us pass over unto the other side" (Mark 4:35) He made a way for them to safely reach the other side, in spite of a bad storm. He will do the same for you. Therefore "commit thy way unto the Lord" (Ps 37:5) and He shall "prosper thy way" (Gen 24:40).
