Marty Ravellette (1939-2007) was born without arms as the result of a birth defect. His parents sent him to the Good Shepherd Rehabilitation center in Pennsylvania where he learned to get along with what he had, his feet, instead of what he didn't have, his arms. He refused to let his disability get him down. He worked in the construction and landscaping businesses using only his feet to accomplish what needed to be done. In 1998, Marty gained notoriety when he and his wife saved a woman from a burning vehicle. Marty believed that being born without arms was God's way of using him to help others realize that we are all special in different ways.
Perhaps you are unhappy with yourself and wish you could be like someone else. If so, "let not your heart be troubled" (Jn 14:1) about such things. You were "created in the image of the greatest of all beings, Jehovah God" (Gen 1:27 Paraphrased). Therefore "be content" (Heb 13:5) with how God created you because you were "wonderfully made" (Ps 139:14).
